What is a silicone foam dressing used for?

Silicone foam dressings are designed to absorb exudate while protecting delicate or sensitive skin. They’re ideal for pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical incisions, minor burns, and skin tears.

Each dressing can stay in place for up to 7 days, depending on the wound’s drainage level. Replace it if the foam appears saturated or exudate reaches the edge of the pad.

Clean and dry the skin before application. Avoid stretching the dressing—it may cause lifting or curling at the edges. Smooth it gently over the wound so it adheres evenly.
